My own journey started back in the 1980s, when I was sick and tired of being sick and tired—and doctors kept offering only more drugs. While my friends were sipping Coke through Twizzler straws, I was reading ingredient labels and asking where my chicken came from. It wasn’t trendy then. In fact, it made me the “food freak.” But changing what and how I ate changed everything. It gave me my health back when no one else had answers.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with Sjögren’s Syndrome—an autoimmune disease—along with a rare but manageable kidney condition. Chronic illness has shaped my life, but so has the decision to turn pain into purpose. It’s the reason I do this work and the heartbeat behind WTFork.
Here, we meet you exactly where you are. We explore your relationship with food. We find what works for you. And we empower you to take charge of your wellbeing in a way that lasts. I am living proof that nourishing choices matter—and while I have the degrees to back this up, my greatest teachers have been my clients, students, readers, and my two children.
